An experience of a lifetime for painters, where you’ll upgrade your skills to a higher level.
Eric Rhoads, publisher of PleinAir magazine, presents a once-in-a-life opportunity to paint in Russia. We will start in the magical city of Saint Petersburg, see the sights and top museums, and paint every day. We will see the home and studio of Ilya Repin and visit the Russian Academy’s Repin Institute, one of the top two art schools in the world. We’ll also visit the amazing State Russian Museum and have a private visit in the Hermitage, the most spectacular museum in the world. And we will make visits to the Summer Palace of Catherine the great and other important locations.
We will then travel inland to an area of quaint villages to paint in the same places frequented by Repin, Levitan, Shishkin, and other Russian greats. We will eat traditional Russian meals and experience Russia like a local, and we will be accompanied by Russian master painters who will paint with us.
Finally, we’ll end our trip with museum visits in Moscow and a visit to The State Tretyakov Art Museum and the Surikov art institute, plus other highlights of the city.
